Requirements

• A ToolCargo account with Site Audit activated (free) and a PDF-scoped key or OAuth.
• An assistant/client able to send base64 file bytes and save returned base64. ToolCargo cannot read local file paths.

Limitations

• 2 MiB combined binary input and output, at most 100 pages; processing stops after 15 seconds.
• No OCR, password-protected PDFs, XFA, signatures or table extraction. HTML/Markdown use semantic layout, not browser CSS/JavaScript rendering.
• Text creation and form appearances use a Latin WinAnsi font; unsupported scripts return an error.
• PDFs are processed in memory without a connector file store. Your assistant and MCP client may retain submitted files and results.
• Static PNG/JPEG only: at most 4 million pixels each, 8 million combined. Animated PNGs and compressed PNG metadata are rejected.
• Highly compressed or complex files may exceed decoder limits even below the upload limit.
• Not a sanitizer: edited files may retain active content, and edits can invalidate signatures.

“Tested” means we connected that client to this endpoint and ran a tool call ourselves. Recorded client-specific tests currently cover Site Audit. Other connectors use the documented setup until tested in that client.
