Meta Ads — tool reference
Ad accounts, campaigns and performance insights from the Meta token you connect. Reporting only.
Server URL: https://toolcargo.com/mcp/meta-ads · Scope: connector:meta-ads · Included with Site Audit. Each successful tool call uses one plan call.
Connect your account
Open Meta Ads connection settings and paste an access token with the ads_read permission. The most durable option is a Business Manager system user: in Business settings → System users, add a system user, assign it your ad accounts with view access and generate a token with ads_read. A long-lived user token also works; short-lived tokens expire within hours and the connection will then need reconnecting.
ToolCargo stores the token encrypted for your account and checks it by reading your Meta user ID and name. Disconnect deletes it. Requests go only to graph.facebook.com using Graph API v26.0, and are read requests only: no ad, ad set or campaign is ever created, edited or paused.
meta_list_ad_accounts
Ad accounts the token can read, with status, currency, time zone and lifetime amount spent in minor units (cents). Defaults to 25 rows, maximum 100. Pass next_cursor as after for the next page.
{ "limit": 25 }meta_list_campaigns
Campaigns in one ad account, with status, effective status, objective, daily or lifetime budget (minor units) and schedule.
{ "account_id": "act_1234567890", "limit": 25 }meta_get_insights
Spend, impressions, clicks, CTR (percent), CPC and actions for exactly one of account_id or campaign_id, between since and until (inclusive, YYYY-MM-DD, at most 400 days). For an account, level: "campaign" returns one row per campaign. time_increment: "daily" returns one row per day and allows at most 93 days. Up to 30 action types per row.
{ "account_id": "act_1234567890", "since": "2026-09-01", "until": "2026-09-30", "level": "campaign" }What the results cover
Results expose selected fields only. Spend is in the account currency; budgets are in minor units. Meta's attribution settings, data freshness and rate limits apply. Expired or revoked tokens (Meta error 190) mark the connection as needing reconnecting; permission errors on a single account do not.
This is an original ToolCargo adapter for the documented Meta Marketing API. It is not an official Meta product, and ToolCargo does not need its own Meta app for it: your token authorises every request.
