Economy & Public Data — tool reference
Economic indicators, exchange rates, weather, tides, earthquakes and holiday calendars in one MCP server.
Server URL: https://toolcargo.com/mcp/public-data · Scope: connector:public-data · Included with Site Audit. Each successful lookup uses one shared-plan call.
One server, 16 tools. Older single-tool endpoints (for example /mcp/world-bank) stay live for existing keys. Prefer this server so the assistant sees every tool in one place.
What’s inside
These tools are served from this same server; each link has the detailed reference.
- World Bank Indicators: Compare market size and economic trends with public World Bank data.
- Eurostat European Statistics: Compare European statistics with units and source flags intact.
- U.S. Treasury Debt Research: Research reported U.S. debt with exact amounts and dates.
- Exchange rates: Published ECB currencies, dated rates and clear conversion math.
- NOAA Coastal Tide Research: Inspect a coastal station. Keep datum and time with its predicted tides.
- NWS Weather Planning: Resolve a US forecast grid. Read the forecast with its source times.
- USGS Earthquake Research: Research earthquake records with dates, locations and source links.
- Public holidays: Public holiday calendars by country (e.g. EG, GB) where the source covers it.
country_trend
World Bank annual population, GDP, inflation or internet adoption for a country and year range, with missing years omitted.
compare_countries
Compare 2–8 countries on one World Bank indicator in a specified year; missing values are identified.
eurostat_country_series
Fetch one curated annual Eurostat indicator for 1–5 EU-27 countries and 1–10 explicit years: unemployment ages 15–74, population on 1 January or nominal GDP in million euros. Keep exact source units, sparse missing values, provisional/break/definition flags and source update time. No arbitrary datasets, downloads or forecasts. One shared-plan call.
eurostat_country_profile
Compare 2–3 curated annual Eurostat indicators for 1–5 EU-27 countries in one explicit year. Source slices are sequential, with independent update dates and units, missing-value/flag disclosure and modified-projection attribution. No cross-unit ranking, rescaling or atomic snapshot guarantee. One shared-plan call.
treasury_debt_series
Read 1–31 explicit calendar days of Treasury Debt to the Penny records from 2005-04-04 onward. Preserve exact decimal USD debt stock, public/intragovernmental components and source nulls; list unreturned dates without inventing weekend or outage explanations. Record Date is the source publication field, not an inferred economic as-of instant. One shared-plan call.
treasury_debt_compare
Inspect two distinct ordered source dates from 2005-04-04 onward and calculate exact two-decimal USD changes for total debt and its components. Missing dated records or amounts remain explicit missing; no nearest-business-day substitution. Two sequential fresh requests are not an atomic snapshot. Stock differences are not borrowing flows, budget deficits or financial advice. One shared-plan call.
supported_currencies
Read the complete direct ECB daily feed and list its published currencies, date and original per-euro decimals. Source data are freely available from the ECB.
latest_rates
Read the direct ECB daily reference feed. Select published currencies and optionally derive an amount conversion; EUR default. Information only, not a transaction quote.
noaa_tide_station
Inspect one exact seven-digit NOAA CO-OPS station ID: source identity, location, tidal/Great Lakes flags and timezone context. The source forecast flag is not tide-prediction availability. No linked resource fetch. One shared-plan call.
noaa_tide_predictions
Read up to seven inclusive explicit calendar days of high/low tide predictions at one exact NOAA station. Fixed MLLW datum and GMT times, metric or English heights preserved as decimal strings. Up to ten events per explicit local page, offset 0–100. Not observations, storm surge or navigation guidance. One shared-plan call.
nws_point
Look up explicit coordinates rounded to four decimals in the public NWS API. Return exact office/grid mapping, timezone and validated forecast pointers. US/NWS coverage only; nearby city is context, not point conditions. One shared-plan call.
nws_grid_forecast
Read one exact NWS office/grid forecast, US or SI units. Preserve source time ranges, temperature units, probabilities, wind text and narrative. At most 10 periods per explicit local page, offset 0–200; forecast can change between calls. Not observations or alerts. One shared-plan call.
nws_hourly_forecast
Read a bounded explicit page of hourly NWS grid forecasts with source timestamps, units, dewpoint, humidity and null values. At most 10 periods, offset 0–200. Grid predictions are not measured point conditions or emergency monitoring. One shared-plan call.
usgs_search_earthquakes
Search the USGS catalog within a UTC date window of at most 31 days, with an exclusive end date, minimum magnitude and optional location radius. Returns up to 20 source-linked records ordered newest first with pagination. Research metadata, not alerts or forecasts. One shared-plan call.
usgs_get_earthquake
Retrieve one USGS earthquake by event ID with magnitude, UTC event/update times, place, coordinates, depth in kilometers and review status. Excludes product files and emergency interpretations. One shared-plan call.
list_holidays
Public holidays for a country and year from Nager.Date. Not an official government calendar.
